Terms of Service
1. What Ivy Assist is
Ivy Assist turns school emails you forward into a family task list and answers your questions about them ("what day is the zoo trip?"). It's an assistant, currently in an early pilot phase, and it uses AI — which means it can occasionally misread or miss things.
2. The one rule that really matters
Ivy is a convenience, not the source of truth. For anything that matters — payments, consent deadlines, trips, medical or safeguarding information — check the original school email or ask the school. We accept no responsibility for a missed cupcake sale, and (more seriously) you shouldn't rely on Ivy alone for anything with real consequences.
3. Your account and your family group
You need a Google account to sign in and a Telegram account to chat. Keep your accounts secure — anyone with access to your Telegram chat can see your family's tasks and ask questions about your forwarded emails. Family members you invite see the household's shared task list and email answers; only invite people you trust with that. You must be at least 18 and a parent or guardian of the children the school emails concern.
4. Acceptable use
Forward school and family-admin email — that's what Ivy is for. Don't use Ivy to process other people's data without their knowledge, probe or overload the service, attempt to access other families' data, or send anything unlawful. We may suspend accounts that do.
5. Price
Ivy Assist is free during the pilot. When paid subscriptions launch (via Stripe), we'll tell you clearly in advance — you'll never be charged silently, and you can delete your account rather than subscribe. Pricing will be shown at checkout.
6. Availability
This is an early-stage service run on a best-effort basis. We aim for reliability (and monitor it), but we don't offer an uptime guarantee, and features may change as the pilot teaches us what works.
7. Leaving
Leave any time by sending /delete_account to the bot — it permanently erases
your data as described in the Privacy Policy. Remember to also remove
your Gmail forwarding filter, which is in your control, not ours.
8. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under UK law. Otherwise, our total liability to you is capped at the amount you've paid us in the previous 12 months (during the free pilot: nothing), and we're not liable for indirect losses or for the accuracy of AI-generated answers — see section 2.
9. Changes and law
If we change these terms materially we'll notify you via the bot first. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes belong to the courts of England and Wales.
